The Victoria City Hall original built in 1878 underwent an extensive renovation. The project generally consisted of renovations and alterations to the City Hall main and 2nd floors to improve customer service, occupant life safety and accessibility. Improvements included demolition and hazardous material abatements, replacement of the vertical access systems, completion of seismic upgrading, customer service upgrades, reorganization of staff work areas and new fire protection system/ fire alarm upgrade. The four phases of improvements to the main floor, 2nd floor administration and customer service areas were completed from 2012 through to 2014. Victoria, B.C
