The Project involved asbestos abatement, mechanical upgrades, life safety revisions to meet current code requirements and seismic upgrade of the fully occupied 5 storey A-wing office building and 3 story D- wing teaching classrooms. Durwest worked with the University to reallocate the occupants and complete the work in the allotted time frame. Construction activities were scheduled around the clock to minimize the impact of noisy work and intrusive work on the occupants. The total construction cost of $5,125,000 was completed in January 2011, 2 months ahead of schedule and under the original budget value.
